  14. 3 DryRed chilli
  15. 2 tsp Bisi bele bhat pdr

Instructions to make to make Bisi Bele Bhat

  1. Wash and soak rice for 20 mins.
  2. Pressure cook dal and rice separately adding salt to taste.
  3. Soak tamarind in half cup of water.Squeeze and filter it.
  4. Add bisi bele bhat pdr,jaggery, tamarind and salt together.
  5. Mash the dal to smooth and add to rice.
  6. If rice is too big mash that also.
  7. Vegetables......Yes Heat a pan with 1 tsp ghee.Add vegetables and saute them for 4mins.
  8. Pour 1 cup water. This way they will retain their crunchiness.
  9. Pour the tamarind mix and stir well.
  10. Add mashed dal and rice mix.Boil for5 mins. Right consistency will come.Add in coconut milk.
  11. For tadka or seasoning heat ghee and add cashews and then curry leaves.Add hing,mustard seeds and broken dry red chilli.
  12. Serve hot with papadam.
